According to published reports, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition has managed to sell more than 20 million copies so far, which is a great record.
More than three years after the official release of this title, Game Monster Hunter World Made by Capcom, it has succeeded in marking another milestone in the history of the industry. Now, the title publisher has announced that global sales (including physical and digital sales of the title) have exceeded 20 million copies. This record also includes the sale of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition, which was released in September 2019 and includes the original game along with the Iceborne expansion pack.
Capcom stated in this regard:
In recent years, Capcom’s extensive digital advertising approach has enabled the company to have a long-term, global sales plan for its core titles. For example, with the release of Monster Hunter: World in January 2018, Capcom was able to register the Monster Hunter series as a global brand. The company’s developers also managed to use the new marketing methods to make the Monster Hunter series one of the best-selling collections in Capcom’s history and set a new record.
The Monster Hunter Rise, released in March 2021 for the Nintendo Switch platform, has also been a huge success, selling over 7.5 million units so far, which is a huge success of its kind. The title is currently set to be released for PC via the Steam Store on Friday, January 14, 2022, along with the Sunbreak expansion pack. This add-on pack is supposed to add a series of new items and features to the game, including new weapons and new places to search.
Monster Hunter World is currently available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Also, if you wish, you can read the review of Monster Hunter: World by Hamoon Motaghedi here.
